Salvation

The greatest miracle that has or will happen to any human being is the miracle of the new birth. In John chapter three, Jesus answers Nicodemus who was a ruler of the Jews in this manner. “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.” Of course Nicodemus, even though he was a religious leader of the Jews; had no idea what Jesus was talking about. So he asked, “Is it possible to enter the womb a second time and be born again?” So Jesus explained to Nicodemus that what was born of flesh was flesh and what was born of the Spirit is spirit.

BORN AGAIN

Being born again means that one receives Jesus the Christ on His terms, and he repents of his sin and God instantly saves him from his sins. Jesus gave His life’s blood on the cross so that we did not have to be spiritually dead in our sins and trespasses. John chapter nineteen explains His death, burial and resurrection. In 2 Corinthians 5: 21 the Bible says, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

A new creation in Christ

In 2 Corinthians 5: 17 the Bible says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new. That means if you receive Jesus on His terms you are a new creature, or a newly created person. Now remember, Jesus said, “That which is born of flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. This means that the Holy Spirit of God re-births your spirit when you repent of your sins and receive Christ.

Repent

What does repent mean? Repent simply means that one turns from sin and sinning. When one receives Christ and is born again he simply wants to live right because he has become a new creature in Christ.

So how do I receive Christ?

Romans 10: 8 – 10 “… The word of faith is near you and in your mouth … that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Would you like to pray this simple prayer and receive Christ into your heart and life? Do it right now. Just pray, Lord Jesus, I believe that you died and rose again for me. I repent of all my sin and I will with Your help and grace turn away from sinning. I receive Jesus as my only Lord and my Savior now. I denounce Satan and all his evil ways. I turn to Jesus and I praise you Lord for forgiving me of my sins. I ask this in Jesus Name. Amen.
